Unfortunate Coincidence

Had to get four fillings today. No, I haven't been brushing my teeth with cotton candy. In fact, I haven't had a cavity for more than a decade ... and that was the problem.

All my fillings were old and worn down, so the dentist replaced them. I had the choice of doing them over a period of days, but I would rather get it all done at once.

Unfortunately, this was the first day of the filming of my video/audio version of my book. You know how the entertainment business is, though--the show must go on!

Here's what we ended up with. You might want to grab your copy and follow along. (I also had great fun calling Dave and leaving him a loving message.)

I can't decide if you remind me of some Carol Burnett character, or Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles. Either way . . . Funny!

  9. LOL!!! At first it sounded like you were doing a New Jersey accent. But I like your Barbara Walters/Elmer Fudd comment too.

If anyone has any doubts of your class and sophistication, all they have to do it take a look at this and all there questions will be answered. It would be a definite yes. Not many handle dental work with such flair and refinement.

  10. Thanks, Toyin. All better now!

Kristen, yes, obviously the first words that come to mind when watching this are "class" and refinement." ;p

  13. Christina, forget Barbara Walters/Elmer Fudd--you sounded like a Russian spy from a spoof movie. Thanks for the smile, but I really wanted to make you a cup of tea. Glad it wasn't worse than just fillings.

  14. This is the most hilarious thing I have seen in like a year. I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face, and my kids were getting quite concerned. The comments after it are almost as funny, especially Elmer Fudd and Barbara Walters. I was thinking you sounded like Frau Brucha from Young Frankenstein, with a Japanese accent... I had the volume turned down (so I wouldn't wake the kids, but I'm sure my laughter took care of that!) and I couldn't understand a single word that you said! Oh, Christina, I miss your humor in my life! :o)
